Welcome to the IMAM ALI conference

The Imam 'Ali Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the service of God and His human creatures, and to the service of the People of the Household (ahl al-bayt) of the Prophet Muhammad, upon them all be peace. The mission of the Imam 'Ali Foundation is to enhance - by all possible means - knowledge of the Imams of the Prophet's descendants and the rich spiritual, theological, juridical and intellectual heritage they bequeathed to the ummah of Muhammad and to the world. The aim of the Imam 'Ali Foundation is to strengthen Muslim unity, as enjoined by God, exalted be His majesty, upon all Muslims in His saying, "This ummah of yours is one ummah, and I am your Lord, therefore serve me. "The unity for which the Imam 'Ali Foundation strives is not uniformity of action, but unity of faith and purpose. It is the unity embodied in the Book of God and Sunnah of His Prophet and the Prophet's progeny ('itrah). These are the two great weights (thaqalayn) to which all Muslims must hold, if they are to be saved from error: "I am leaving with you the two great weights, the Book of God and my progeny, the people of my household. If you hold fast to them, you will never go astray." This was the Prophet's last commandment to his ummah. The Imam 'Ali Foundation's mission is to keep these noble words of our noble Prophet alive and to urge all Muslims to be guided by them in their life here on earth and onto the life to come in the company of the Prophet and his progeny at the "Spring of living waters (hawd al-kawthar).
